A common misperception is that plastic surgery focuses only on cosmetic procedures. In reality, plastic surgeons work in all disciplines within a busy hospital. Plastic surgery is one of the few medical disciplines that does not focus on one area of the body, but instead is used anywhere on the body where specialist plastic surgery intervention is needed.
Below we hear from a patient who required plastic surgery expertise following surgery by another specialty. The patient was kind enough to write a few words following her journey:
‘It’s hard to write a few words especially when I have so many totally gushing words I could write.
