Upper Lid blepharoplasty

What is it?

Upper eyelid surgery involves making a judgment of how much excess skin can be surgically removed with or without a small amount of fat near the medial edge of the cut. The surgery can be done under local anaesthetic and takes about 30 minutes to perform.

Recovery

The closure of the wound usually involves a non-absorbable stitch that is removed at 5-7 days. We advise the use of cooling eye pads over the next 2 days to help with bruising and swelling, and the use of a silicone product and sunblock to optimize the wound once the wounds have healed.

Please note that this procedure and our other local anaesthetic procedures are typically carried out at our medical clinic, Naked Health in Wimbledon.
